The Wedding
between TV personality, Dolapo Oni and Enterpreneur/Son of Late Ooni of Ife, Prince
Adegbite Sijuwade held on the 10th October, 2015 in London. While there were
earlier stated rumors that the bride would grace the aisle in an Elle Saab
couture dress, she went for a simple, yet elegant piece by Hollywood’s royalty
designer, Romona Keveza instead.
What got me
tripping about this gown is its uniqueness; just different. I totally like the
cut of the monostrap and the idea of the belt.
The gown also features a detachable veil.
The
dress definitely flashes our memory back to Tina Knowles’ dress when she tied
the knot with Richard Lawson in April 2015
Although Tina’s gown seems to be the combination of these two runway designs...
Dolapo decided
to break the norm and opted for a jumpsuit instead of a second/reception dress.
The jumpsuit was made by a Lebanese designer Krikor Jabotian. The jumpsuit
features floral details at the top and some sort of draped cape at the bottom.
Although
I wouldn’t say this jumpsuit caught much of my attention, I’m sure we would be
seeing many more brides going down the ‘jumpsuit’ path.
The
bridesmaids also stunned in Elvira Jude’s strapless peplum dresses (that's pretending not to notice that other LADY...)
The groom went for a custom made suit. I particularly love the cream vest and the other
details like the tie pin and lapel flower/pin.
He also switched things up alongside his bride for the reception...
... and the
groomsmen! I think they looked just right. The grey vest, blue suit and the other details all add up
quite nicely in my eyes.
Their pre-wedding photos got me singing….oh na na na na na….
Celebrity
photographer, TY Bello sure does really good stuff. Super creative.
What are your thoughts guys?
