TRENDS: The Classic Man’s ‘Handy’ Bag

As the year 2015 gradually wraps up, I intend to do a review of the year’s trends in the next few days. The year has been an interesting one; a year I decided to put myself out there to meet y’all. It's been great.

So, i’m talking Bags today….

Bags have become a necessary tool and of course, accessory for both male and female. For the modern man of style, bags are masculine, attractive, necessary and ideal additions to any contemporary wardrobe, formal or informal. If you still think male bags are a farce, you’re sadly behind on times.

Of all the male bags, the Briefcase bag has my heart. Seeing that a lot of men are loving it as much as I do, makes me a fan of the trend even more.

The briefcase is a classic man’s handbag. Unlike the briefcases of the past, modern day cases look more like a messenger bag than a traditional hard and box-like bag.

Thinking of a way to spice up your work wardrobe? Get a briefcase. Seek one in real leather for increased quality and durability and modern designs.
Complement their sleek lines with smart tailored looks. The buckles, zippers, leather exterior and practical interior compartments help make this bag a timeless addition to any working man’s wardrobe.

Here’s how some stylish men are rocking it. Be Inspired!

Stay Stylish people!

TRENDS: Lace and Lace ups

Straight outta the 70’s, the lace up trend is taking over the fashion scene in a big way. From laced clothing to lace up details, there is no stopping this trend (…just yet).

Add a laced piece to your wardrobe for a super girly and trendy touch this season. Buy them in tops, dresses, shorts etc. You can either go with full laced pieces or clothing with lace details.

Also, it's not so hard to notice the lace up trend- crisscrossing in bodysuits, dresses, jackets, playsuits, tops etc. This detail is usually around the chest area, arm or at the back.

Tip:
You might have to for-go your normal bra when dealing with this detail, as you don’t want it showing underneath. Lucky for you if you find one that works well with your normal bra. Some clothing with lace up detail will require you to wear a silicon or stick on bra. If not, you can go for a style bra that sports a deep V (Although the V might not always be deep enough- depending on the length of the lace up detail).

Lace up shoes, sandals and boots are also having their time. Do not miss out of these fun trends.

Slay in Lace!

Have a great week Digs and Skims...

TRENDS:The Draped Cape

Sometime ago, I wore this outfit and a friend thought I looked like a magician (LOL). Some others thought I looked like an angel. Whatever! Just recently that same friend had her birthday and I made sure I added a similar top to her birthday pack. She called me some days later and she said...
“Skimo, you will come and explain how to wear this thing you bought o….”

I laughed so hard because I had expected that call. Of course…the babe must be tired of me getting her complicated stuffs that are way out of her comfort zone. You know yourself.

Hence, I decided to do a short post on it.

The draped cape top has been everywhere of recent and I've seen quite a number of people rocking it. It’s something like a high-low top that is usually very short in front and the back drapes gracefully down your behind.
See how some of her skimmy Skims have styled it…

I went for a pencil skirt with the top tucked in (as seen above).

She opted for a flare skirt.

With trousers...

What do you think guys?
Gotta rock it or Make it stop?
