Mastering
the act of wardrobeomaximization is an important skill I believe everyone
should have. I mean, you don’t just stuck up on items, use once and dump….even
if you can afford to. I always say one of the things that passes you off as a
stylish person is your ability to do different things with what you have. The funny
thing is how well you revibe or revamp your wardrobe pieces especially clothing,
makes it difficult for people to notice that you repeated them in the first
place. And if they actually did notice, it’s maybe too forgiving to be held
against you.
Your
wardrobe basics are always the best items to repeat and revamp because they
most likely will coordinate well with other items in your closet.
Ashley
is my style star for the week. The queen of Maximization. She is a fashion
blogger and consultant. View her blog here.
In
expressing how interesting the act of maximization can be, she partnered with Maggy
London in styling their little black wrap dress in 4 distinctive ways.
First
look
Maggy
London wrap dress, Greylin jacket, H&M boots, Love Cortnie bag, Maddan
shoes
Second
look
Maggy
London wrap dress, Nasty girl cardigan, Zac Zac posen bag, Rayban sunglasses,
Zara boots
Third
look
Maggy
London wrap dress, Asos jeans, plaid top, River Island bag, Lauren Marinis
shoes
Forth
look
Maggy
London wrap dress, Missguided fur vest, Nordstorm cap, Vince Camuto backpack,
Schutz shoes
She
used accessories to create four entirely different outfits by simply going for
different shoe and bag choices, layering and styling details like tying a shirt
around the waist, adding a belt, using a cap. You will agree with me that she hasn’t even exhausted half of
the myriad ways to style that wrap dress.
It's
all about asking yourself…..what else can I do with this shirt, dress or top? You
will find the answers flowing if only you give it some thought.
I
hope this post has inspired you?
Y’all
gotta master the act of maximization!
Thanks
for stopping by…..
